About

From an early age, Sam knew he was meant to build. While he didn’t have a specific path in mind, he was always drawn to working with his hands and the artistry of creating something from scratch. His passion for craftsmanship and design has been a constant thread throughout his life.

After attending St. Lawrence University in upstate New York, Sam returned to what he loved most: construction. He spent several years in Boston working with a range of companies, mastering the skills of project management, estimating, and design. Those experiences became the blueprint for what would one day become his own venture.

When COVID hit, Sam found himself in Ketchum, Idaho. One afternoon, while cross-country skiing near Baker Creek, he felt a moment of clarity, it was time to take the leap. He made the move from Boston to Ketchum full-time, blending his love for the mountains with his lifelong dream of building something of his own. That’s where Baker Creek Construction was born.

What began as an apprenticeship in custom cabinetry under the mentorship of a close friend evolved into a deep focus on fine woodworking and detailed craftsmanship. Today, Sam and his team are known for their precision, creativity, and commitment to timeless design, bringing function and artistry together in every project.
